Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re still struggling with debilitating symptoms more than three months after a COVID-19 infection, you may be experiencing Long COVID. You are not alone, and what you are feeling is very real.

The CDC officially recognizes Long COVID as a serious condition that can involve a wide range of ongoing health problems lasting for months or even years.

Because it can affect multiple body systems, the symptoms can be widespread and confusing. They often include:

Systemic Symptoms: Debilitating fatigue, post-exertional malaise (PEM), and sleep disturbances.

Neurological Symptoms: Brain fog, memory issues, headaches, and nerve pain.

Cardiopulmonary Symptoms: Shortness of breath, cough, and heart palpitations.

Associated Conditions: Many Long COVID patients also develop related complex illnesses like POTS, ME/CFS, and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS).

Navigating these complex symptoms requires a comprehensive, personalized approach. At New View, our entire practice is built to provide that deep level of investigation and support.

Your 90-Minute Clinical Consultation

This is a comprehensive telehealth visit with our Nurse Practitioner, dedicated entirely to your medical journey. During this session, we will:

Listen to Your Full Story: We will carefully review your complete health history, symptoms, and previous treatments.

Review Your Records: We’ll discuss any previous lab work and specialist notes to look for patterns and clues.

Collaboratively Build Your Plan: We will work with you to create your initial care plan, including recommendations for advanced testing and initial treatment strategies.

As part of your onboarding, you have the option for a one-hour session with our founder and client advocate, who is also living with Long COVID. This session is designed to help you tell your story more completely in a safe space with a someone who truly gets it. While we highly recommend it, the choice to include this session is entirely yours.

The primary goals of meeting with a Client Advocate are to:
